Working systems first
Generated worlds, physical flight and travel need to function together before there is much value in polishing the edges.
Gigaslav is an independent game studio started by Yaroslav in 2026, based in Pafos, Cyprus. The current focus is ProjectWander, a procedural space-exploration RPG.
GIGASLAV / THE STORY SO FAR
ProjectWander begins with a question: what if exploring a planet and travelling between planets were parts of the same experience?
Rather than start with a large catalogue of content, development has focused on the underlying world and movement systems. The long-term challenge is to turn that foundation into places that are interesting to visit, leave and return to.
Gigaslav is bootstrapped and independent. The work shown here is from the current Godot development build, and the game remains in active development.
HOW WE APPROACH DEVELOPMENT
What matters right now is getting the connected exploration loop to work, learning from the prototype and expanding the game without losing that core idea.
Generated worlds, physical flight and travel need to function together before there is much value in polishing the edges.
The current work stays focused on ProjectWander rather than dividing development across multiple titles.
Images of terrain, ship flight and fauna come from the working game build.
